Our Foundation
The Amir Sultan Chinoy Foundation is one of Pakistan’s oldest foundations.  It was established in 1968 as The Friendship Foundation by Amir Sultan Chinoy in accordance with the wishes of his father Sir Sultan Mehrally Chinoy. In 1980 the foundation was renamed as the Amir Sultan Chinoy Foundation.

Education
The foundation supports organizations providing education to the under privileged. The Amir Sultan Chinoy Foundation in conjunction with the Citizens Foundation has funded and set-up two primary schools, catering to 500 students in Karachi.  In addition, the foundation provides scholarships for higher education in Pakistan that are awarded to underprivileged students, primarily for undergraduate studies. In the current year, the foundation has substantially contributed to the “Amir Sultan Chinoy Chair” at the Aga Khan University Hospital in Karachi.
 
Health and Social Efforts
The foundation is also involved in activities to assist disadvantaged people with financial support for medical purposes and in promoting social wellbeing.  Retired employees of the Chinoy group of companies and their families are supported through the foundation. The foundation has also financed a retirement home for old people in Karachi.  In addition, the foundation has also built a mosque in an area close to the International Industries Limited factory. The Jamia Siddiquia Mosque has been built in conformity with wishes of Amir Sultan Chinoy in memory of his father Sir Sultan M. Chinoy.

The foundation is deeply committed to the continued support of educational, health and social efforts in Pakistan.
